22.12.2011SolarMax central inverters receive "Golden Sun" certificate
SolarMax inverters 50 TS, 80 TS and 100 TS are certified to fulfil the requirements of the "Golden Sun" programme in China. This means that solar power plants can receive state funding under certain conditions.
The testing and certification of the TS inverters has already been carried out according to the new CNCA/CTS 0004-2009A grid connection guideline. The SolarMax central inverters 50 TS, 80 TS and 100 TS received the "Golden Sun" certificate at the start of December. Other inverters are currently still being tested and will also receive the corresponding certification soon.
The Chinese government plans to increase its investments in the development of renewable energies in their own country in the years to come. This way, China emphasises its desire to gain ground in the field of regenerative energy production, particularly since the energy supply for the total population is not secured across the whole country yet. As a result, the "Golden Sun" programme has been supporting the construction of solar power plants with outputs of more than 300 kilowatts since 2009. Up to 50 percent of the costs of grid-coupled systems are paid by the government in these schemes.
"We are pleased that our devices fulfil legal requirements and that they have been awarded these important certificates. Investments in photovoltaics are the next logical and important step for the Chinese government to realise the set objectives of environmental protection and sustainable economic management. SolarMax will also be making a contribution to this in China," says George Geng, Managing Director of Sputnik Engineering Trading Ltd. in Shanghai.
